The decor is authentic but, there weren't many people inside for there to be any real ambiance as we visited between lunch and dinner. That said, this place is a jewel. The food is excellent and, my server practically read my mind the entire time we were there. I made sure to tip extra. I'm ALWAYS on the lookout for a good Mexican food place. This has been my "go to" for years. The food is served very hot and promptly. Drinks constantly refreshed and, the cuisine (even though we don't order too much out of the ordinary) is prettyyyyyy to look at. This isn't some watered down fare, it's the real deal. I love that they use shredded chicken instead of chopped or cubed on the chicken tacos & chicken enchiladas. Even the chips and salsa are very good and refreshed quickly...no looking around wondering where your server is. I do not like experimenting when I'm hungry, you cannot go wrong at this place.
It was wonderful. The food and drinks were excellent At a good price.
We hadn't been to El Comino in years. We gave it a try on a friend's recommendation, the food was great big portions full of flavor. The dinning room is a little loud, but overall, we we're very pleased with our dinner we'll be back.
El Camino Restaurant is a landmark in Brentwood. Excellent food. Excellent Service. Highly recommend any of the steak dishes. The El Papa Burrito is huge and usually a two-part meal. The chiliques is also a favorite of ours. Don't be afraid to try the hamburger and fries; it is the best in town. If you have lived in Brentwood and have never been here, then you really have not lived in Brentwood.
Pork Chili Verde is great. I order it over chilaquiles and add a fried egg. They have very cold Pacifico on tap & it's always delicious. Tastes so good as it passes your lips
We stopped in for a late lunch while visiting the area from New England. We enjoyed both our lunch plate choices! The enchilada was served with beans and rice and the burrito chosen (pork with green sauce) were flavorful and plentiful for a lunch portion. I highly recommend the pork - filled with large juicy chunks with green sauce chosen. The waitress was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was local and authentic. Their menu has all the favorites! Highly recommend!
Bring cash Had chilies make sure you clarify you want meat on top even though the menu says with meat everything tasted good. The chips that you get with your chips and salsa are different than the chips that come with the plate. I will come back here and eat it again.
